Magnets should never be considered as a substitute for professional health care.
Note: I emailed customer service and they graciously helped me with a fix!
After about 2 weeks of wearing this bracelet, I went to take it off and one of the strands broke at the clasp, rendering the bracelet unwearable. This was very unexpected since all 6 of my Hazelaid necklaces are extremely sturdy and have never broken.
This is a neat bracelet and the magnets are really strong, but I wish I had gotten the non-magnetic version. I should have known, but the magnet sticks to everything! Computers (which is worrisome because I work with other people's computers as a major part of my job: magnets can ruin a hard drive), the washing machine when I'm getting clothes out, the fridge/freezer when I open the door, the list goes on. I'm going to try and convert it to an anklet with some fishing line or nylon jewelry string. It won't be as nice, but hopefully it won't stick to everything then.
Maybe I'm imagining it, but sometimes when it sticks to something metal, I get a metal taste in my mouth. It's not pleasant and pretty weird. It also feels like I get occasional pain around where the magnets are, and it's not from pinching or anything. It feels like it's coming from inside my wrist. Another weird sensation.
I haven't had it long enough to evaluate whether the hazelwood has helped my eczema. Hopefully it will.
Thanks James, it's important for people to know that yes, these magnets are very strong. They do tend to stick to things, though I've never had mine wipe out my computer, if you're working with machines a lot that could be an issue if you have a bracelet on. A non-magnetic alternative to this one that looks similar can be found here: https://hazelaid.com/collections/hazelwood-for-teens-adults/products/hazelwood-all-hematite-1?variant=34751847687
The magnets are very strong so stay closed well. Beautiful pieces - I ordered two 7 inch bracelets and an 8 inch for my ankle. All 3 designs are different, which is a shame - the 8 inch has more edges, and one 7 inch has a double piece in the middle. I dont mind, but would be upset if I had purchased these as a gift
