    CONSTRUCTION: Safety release, cotton string, safety-knotted between each bead, baltic amber & natural gemstone beads. Clasp is a plastic amber-colored pop clasp.Typical bead size 3-4mm. As always exact bead color and shape can vary slightly. Note that beads are considered 95% perfect round (versus the traditional shape of amber we use which is called 'baroque') but may still have small pits and artistic imperfections. These are handmade, length is within 1/2 inch.     Second hazelaid necklace

    Love the colors of this necklace! We have another hazelaid necklace with the pop clasp and absolutely love it but this ones pop clasp is easy for our son to take off where the other one isn't! He barely tugs and it's off!! It's disappointing since I love this one more due to the colors now we have to watch him like a hawk so we don't loose it! Not sure if it's just a defective clasp! :( Would be 5 stars if it weren't for the clasp

    Thanks very much for the feedback. :) Yes the pop style clasp does come open a lot easier than the twist, it's not a defect, some parents like that feature but there's definitely a tradeoff there in that if the child can find it with their hand and like to grab at it, it can come off easier. :/ Some kids are less grabby so it works OK and you get the safety mechanism that opens without breaking the necklace. The twist style is going to withstand some tugs but will 'break' open if a dangerous amount of weight is placed on it and then need to be replaced. So we offer both so parents can choose which features they'd like to go with, but yes at this point we only offer this style in a pop clasp.
